This special evening honors the wonderful contributions of our donors, community partners and elected officials who support The Gathering Inn. Believing in its mission, our supporters empower our guests to move from homelessness to sustainable housing with newly found dignity and hope.
The Gathering for Hope 2023 will not soon be forgotten. We continue to celebrate the generosity liberally displayed that night as over $400,000 was raised. This was made possible by many heartfelt contributions. We cannot thank our supporters enough for making this event so monumental.
These gifts uplift our mission which is to meet people where they are, inspire hope and walk along them in their journey to sustainable housing. The funds raised at Gathering for Hope will fuel our supportive services which include case management, mental health clinicians and the meeting of basic needs such as shelter, food, clothing, and safety. Many lives will be impacted and assured that the community deeply cares and values their well-being and growth.
Please mark your calendars for November 15, 2024, to join us for our sixth annual Gathering for Hope. Your presence with us means so much.
The Gathering Inn was pleased to posthumously honor the legacy of Martin A. Harmon with the prestigious “Leo and Eileen French Spirit of Hope” award. Martin, a California native, purchased his first nursing home at 27 and has since acquired more senior living communities and real estate holdings. He founded several companies, including Western Care Construction Company, Inc., Horizon West Healthcare, Inc., and Platinum Living Services, Inc., and developed various real estate ventures and partnerships. In 1997, Martin established the Armrod Charitable Foundation, which has donated over $22 million to charitable causes, including $4.5 million to homelessness initiatives. Accepting the award on his behalf was his son, Matthew Harmon.
