3rd Annual Splendor of the Trees Brings Holiday Cheer - November 18, 2009
On Saturday, November 14, hundreds of people from across Placer County started celebrating the holidays early at The Gathering Inn’s annual Splendor of the Trees. The event brought many eager shoppers and supporters out to RC Willey for tree viewing, a silent and live auction, and food from area vendors; including Crush 29, Chevy’s, Tahoe Joe's and Bloom Coffee and Tea. The evening’s Master of Ceremonies, Joe Orlando from Fox 40, kept the evening moving.
Many attendees left with their arms loaded. One little girl took home an American Girl Doll, an early birthday present from her mom who bought the item in the silent auction. Other popular items included a bicycle, wine baskets, a trip to Cabo San Lucas and a signed Mike Bibby jersey.
